The new CyberBrick components have been really fun to experiment with. Earlier today I was finally able to share this 360˚ water turret. I'll be really interested to see RC projects people come up with!

This might be a little non-standard but I just wanted to share my first RC project: a water gun turret.

This is my attempt to make a somewhat dramatic way to display your 3D printed models. You can adjust the brightness of the lights and also how fast it orbits. I liked the curved light but would straight be better?

This stringed instrument has been fun to make - it's definitely not the best sounding instrument (and is very hard to tune) but I've enjoyed working on it just as an interesting object (based on a real lyre at the Met).

I've been working on a project to provide interesting up-lighting on printed models or figurines. The effect is subtle but I think it could be interesting for certain minis.

I've ended up with quite a few printed figures and am trying out different ways to display them. This project uses a slip ring so that a light can orbit around the base of the print to give a subtle light effect.

Lately I've been thinking of ways to display some of the models I print. This project uses a rotating light to create a shimmery up-light on displayed project. Does anyone have thoughts for how I could improve it?

Completed a new project today: a small marble run set in nature with a campfire and swinging bridge

This weekend I finished this marble run that uses sixty 6mm stainless steel balls and rotates around a central screw. Now I just need to learn CAD so that I'm not doing this in Blender :) All parts are available from Maker's Supply and no soldering is required.

I wanted to try and make a marble run with a moving track and was finally able to complete it! There was lots to learn through the process - especially with the tolerances for some of the small parts.

Just finished up with this project today and I got to try a couple of new things - deforming some thin parts (using a mold and hair dryer) and components for a levitation effect. Getting the balance right was trickier than I expected!

Has anyone else had a chance to try the Magnetic Levitation kit? I thought it worked really well and finished up my first model utilizing it today. Looking forwarding to building more models around this kit.
